Hitler

Adolf Hitler was born in Braunau, Austria April 20th 1889 near the German border. His father Alois was very strict, was very brutal. His mother Clara was completely opposite of Alois, she was very kind and carrying. Hitler had a very good education. When he was little he wanted to become an artist. His father died in 1903 and two years later he went to Vienna to become an artist and he couldn’t because he failed the entrance exam twice and after that he just left. In 1907 his mother died and Hitler tried to join the army in Austria and they would not let him in because he could not pass the test to get in. So he went to Germany and joined their army instead and during the very being of the Second World War he went on a mission to take over Poland and the mission failed. So he got put in jail for 5 years. And during that time he tried to escape and failed many times. He became the leader of the prisoners. When they were released some of the soldiers went to the leaders of the Germany and they thought he would be a good leader.

The Beginning of the Holocaust

The Holocasut was the genocide of European Jews and other victims by Hitler and the Nazi Party.

The term 'Nazi' comes from NGSWP, the National German Socialist Workers Party. Hitler soon became the spokeman for the Nazi party after their first meeting on February 24, 1920. Hitler chose himself as absolute leader of the Nazi party on July 29,1921. Nazi's agreed with Hitler on his opinions about: -national revival - racial pride - hatred for France, Jews, and Non-German races.

Soon Hitler became chancellor of Germany, as chancellor he was in control of the German Army. With Hitler as chancellor Germany's economy became steadier, Germany began making weapons which eliminated mass employment. This may sound like Hitler did a great thing for Germany, but in the end it was horrible.

Hitler was an Anti-Semitist. This meant he had extreme prejiduce against Jewish people and the ancestors of modern jews. Hitler persuaded Germany that Germans were superior (or Aryan) and everyone else was sub-human.

Hitler and The Nazi's put the Jews into ghettos, concentration camps, and death camps.(more info on the next page)
