The fastest horse in the world for a quater mile is the Quater Horse, but the fastest horse for around a mile or more is the Thoroughbred. So thoroughbreds are the 2nd fastested to the Quater horse. Some horse breeds are : Alter real, Warmbloods, Fresians,Thoroughbreds,Quater horses,Morgans,and more.There are around 250 horse breeds not including ponies.
